10 facts about me when I was younger
Sunday, 30 November 2008
1. Thanks to my mom, I grew up listening to Classic, Oldies and Country songs. Most of the lyrics are in my head until now and there was even once when my grandpa was singing an old country song and I continued the song for him when he stop. He stared at me.
2. My grandpa's heart's desire before he die is to see me get married because all my other cousins are about 10 years younger than me (I think). He is 77 years old now.
When I was younger
(less than 5 years old)
3. Once, my grandma was carrying me at her neighbor's house. The naughty little boy around the same age as me came over and pulled my leg. I insisted on getting down and once my grandma put me down on the floor, I ran and chase the boy, gave him a nice slap on his face before walking back to my grandma's side with everyone looking at me speechless.

4. I was playing by myself on the bed and started crawling... I craw to the edge of the bed and fell off.. into the rubbish bin. Luckily there was newspaper in it and i didn't really hurt myself badly. I survived probably because I had a hard head. And yeah, I'm hard headed.
5. I was sitting on my parents bed one day and started crying when I saw the picture of my parents wedding photo.
6. My grandma took care of me when my parents were working. I once lock her outside on the balcony for fun and started playing with soap. My grandma managed to persuade me to open the door after some time but she panicked, called my mom and insist that she take me to the hospital in case I ate the soap. Btw, I also did lock my grandma in the bathroom once too, I think.
(at age 6 - 8)
7. My mom stop work to take care of me when I entered primary school.
8. I used to spend about 3 or 4 days at my grandparents house during school holidays. Both sides (paternal and maternal), my grandparents stay not further than half an hour drive from my house.
9. Once my grandma took me to the mall and there was this roadshow going on. The DJ was giving out goodie bags to those who were willing to go up stage and sing a song. I stood there for a while thinking to myself how pathetic those adults were- singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star or Mary Had A Little Lamb. I donno what got into me that time, but I step up on stage and sang Don't Cry For Me Argentina. I wasn't nervous at that time, confident- so to speak, which is weird, coz if you ask me to do that now, I might not be able to.
10. I once got angry with my grandma coz she brought me out to one of the mall, sitting in a taxi instead of a bus. And sitting in a bus was something new to me back then since I've never really need to take the bus anywhere.
