A failed Mass Comm student, I am.

Situation A
A:Hey did you watch the final episode of Heroes?
Esther: What is Heroes? Can eat?
A: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HEROES IS LIKE THE MOST HAPPENING THING ON TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Esther: -.-
A:Wait... You don't watch TV?
Esther: Erm.. not exactly.
A: When was the last time you actually sit through a TV show?
Esther:I don't recall, maybe form 3? I think?
A: WHAT?!?

Situation B
B: Hey! Did you know that Chua Soi Lek sex scandal... (yack yack yack)
Esther: What is Chua Soi Lek? Can eat?
B: LOL! It's all over the newspaper... even on thenewspeculator.blogspot.com!
Esther: -.-
B: Then what's the newspaper doing in your house?
Esther: I read the comics section :D
B: WTF man.. you... you... *speechless*

Situation C
C: What's the most interesting advertisement that you've seen so far?
Esther: Hmm....
C: Fine! What is the latest advertisement that had caught your eyes?
Esther: Hmm...
C: Arg! Any advertisement that you hate?
Esther: Yes!!! the Digi song that ALWAYS irritates me to the maximum before the movies in the cinema starts. Boy! I hate that song.
C: Fuh~ At least you know something...

Conclusion

Friend: So with the given situations above, YOU CALL YOURSELF A MASS COMMUNICATION STUDENT?
Esther: WTF, yes. -.-

---------

My first day at Media Planning and Management class ended with me thinking of how long I've been under a nutshell. I haven't been watching enough TV and reading enough newspapers to keep myself updated with the news and advertisements that are around. Okay... especially the advertisements part -.-
*sigh*
I shall have to watch more TV.
If mummy ever ask me to go study when I'm watching TV, I'd say "but that's what I'm doing! I AM studying. And my lecturer ask me to watch more TV."
I online too much la! -.- Now I wish I have a TV in my room. At least I can kill 2 birds with a stone that way...
